I’m delighted to share with you a tiny peek at Zach + Katie‘s beautiful autumn Tuckahoe Plantation wedding. Katie is my darling husband’s younger sister, and documenting such a special day for her and our family was such an unbelievable honor! From the beautiful floral design by the folks at Boulevard Flower Garden; the mismatched vintage china dishes that Zach’s dad collected over the past year or so; the elegant Wtoo Emerson gown and Katie’s hair and makeup by Annie Radigan; the DIY chalkboard details and paper flower settings; the outdoor hanging lights at the reception and the amazing music by Big Boss Man; all flawlessly coordinated by Amy over at McBride Events…it was the most perfect fall day, and the loveliest of southern weddings. Not pictured: the amazing Goatocado Food Truck rehearsal dinner, the sweat and hustle from the entire Der family who came to Tuckahoe to set up all the details the day before the wedding, and Katie + Zach’s sure to be amazing wedding video by Two Cents Photography. I’m also so, so thankful to have had the lovely Whitney Neal there to second shoot alongside me! It was truly such a beautiful day and I’m honored to tell this story!

I couldn’t have more excited or humbled or tickled when Meredith (the beautiful talent behind both Meredith Perdue Photography and Map & Menu!) contacted me about photographing her secret fall elopement up in Portland, Maine. She and Michael set the date for November 1st, the anniversary of when they first began dating in college. The two of them got ready in their (absurdly cute) home in South Portland, took some rainy day photos in their backyard, and said “I do” on a grassy overlook where they often take sweet Orvis to play fetch. It was such a special, intimate, meaningful day, and I still get teary thinking about what an honor it was to witness and document! From Meredith and Michael seeing one another for the first time; to Orvis in his bow tie, whining with excitement on the car ride over to the coast; the delicious cookie cake from their neighborhood bakery Scratch Baking Co., as well as the hand lettered marriage certificate by Li over at Fat Orange Cat Studio and the ridiculously pretty Emily Carter Floral Designs bouquet; to finishing up at one of their favorite local restaurants for yummy popcorn and drinks. It was such a beautiful, perfect afternoon…!

How charming is Buffalo Hill Farm!? The home was built in 1908 and has been in Eric’s family ever since; this Oxford farm was truly the perfect spot for these two to gather their family and friends and to celebrate such a special day! Brooke and Eric were lucky enough to have one of the last warm, sunny days of fall before winter set in, and their sunset ceremony and tent reception overlooked the beautiful colors of autumn in New England. Jennifer over at Esq. Events did a great job planning and coordinating the day, and it was a special treat for me to have along a second shooter–Gina Brocker over at Gina Brocker Photography was such a great side kick! From the beautiful floral design by Jeff French, hair by Below The Veil, makeup by Danielle Austin, delicious catering by Brandi Foods Inc., it’s a delight to share with you a peek at B+E’s sweet wedding day!
