Thompson Island is my kind of venue–outdoor, laid back and intimate, with open spaces and a team of people working behind the scenes to make sure a couple’s wedding runs smoothly and without a hitch. Add on an incredible view of Boston, some delicious lobster for dinner and an outdoor ceremony in Gable orchard…it’s a dream to shoot there! Maren and Ted could not have chosen a location more suited to their easy going and sweet personalities. I’m so happy I had the chance to take a water ferry over to the island and document this special day–I love Maren’s Sarah Janks wedding gown AND her Twigs and Honey (!!!) hairpiece, both from Ceremony in Boston; and I also love that these two said their vows underneath a giant, beautiful tree on the island. Poppy Floral in Cambridge did such a beautiful job on the flowers for the day, and the lobsters were a delight to eat after a sunny afternoon shooting, for sure. Congrats M + T! Thank you for trusting me to document your lovely and meaningful day!

I’m just delighted to share a few favorites from the Boston film family session I had a few weeks ago with my sweet friend, Arielle–Arielle and I moved to Boston around the same time last year and bonded over a. how cold it is in the winter, b. shooting film, and c. road rage toward the crazy drivers here in the city! I loved spending a bit of time with her happy little family, and am so, so happy to call her a friend.

I just wanted to share a few favorites from Charles and Jess’ Moraine Farm wedding before I head up to New Hampshire to shoot this weekend. These two got ready at the Garrison Inn, one of their favorite spots in Newburyport. They took a bus over to the beautiful estate at Moraine Farm where Charles and Jess said their vows under a giant tree; mingled with guests while overlooking the Wenham Lake; then celebrated, toasted, and danced outdoors in a beautiful tent on the Moraine Estate lawn. Jess looked so lovely in her Paloma Blanca gown, and Lilac and Lily really put together some stunning bouquets and centerpieces, no!? It was such a pleasure shooting at such a beautiful location, and with such a joyful couple to boot!
