A few weeks ago I flew down to Richmond, VA (my old college stomping grounds!) to photograph Sam + Sarah’s Sabot at Stony Point wedding, and I just loved the all details of the day–Sarah’s elegant Ivy & Aster gown and her Percy Handmade hairpiece; the lovely autumn flowers by Black Creek Flowers & Sweets; the ridiculously fun and creative invitation suite by Magpie Paperworks; the yummy cake by Cakes by Graham; and the setting, so serene and natural you would never guess that it’s just steps from downtown Richmond. Lovebirds Events did a great job helping to plan Sarah + Sam’s wedding day, too. And not to mention the beautiful vows Sarah and Sam said to one another, their sweet and welcoming families, Rocky the pup who is very cute indeed, the groovy reception tunes by Three Sheets to the Wind, all on a chilly but intimate October day. I’m so happy for these two (…three!) and I’m so thankful to have had the chance to tell their story!

Meet Tess, Michael, and Titus the sheepadoodle pup! These three moved just north of Boston earlier this year, and ever since meeting up for a hike last spring, the two pups are crazy for one another and Bryan and I are so very fond of T + M as well! The six of us recently took a weekend trip to stay at Tess’ family’s cabin up in the mountains of Andover–we hiked, ate delicious things, drank lots of tasty things ;), sat by the fire, celebrated the pups’ first birthday, and took some engagement photographs, too. I couldn’t be happier to have had the chance to document such a special time for this petite family, and can only imagine that their Ragged Mountain wedding next year will be equally as special and beautiful. And not to forget, evidence that we are all in fact crazy dog parents, and in honor of Stout and Titus’ first birthday, I give you the cutest picture I have ever taken:

I can’t even find the right words to describe the beauty and joy present in Jessie + Mike’s Black Point Inn wedding! I started the day off right by swinging by the recently opened El Rayo Taqueria in Scarborough and munching on some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had–such yummy guacamole, and the best burrito ever (along with a super tasty cucumber mint refresco). It was just what I needed to tackle an unusually warm, sunny September day while dressed for fall (New England weather, make up your mind…! ;) I headed over to the quaint Black Point Inn, which has amazing views of the Casco Bay; Jessie and her bridesmaids got ready at the Inn, which Mike and his groomsmen hung out at a nearby cabin. The ceremony at Spurwink Church in Cape Elizabeth–one of the tiniest chapels I’ve ever shot at!–was intimate, moving, and so sincere. Afterwards we all headed back to the Inn to taste Jessie + Mike’s signature cocktails (The VT and Don’s Rok, respectively), take a few portraits by the bay, listen to some sweet and funny toasts, and dance the night away.

So, so thankful to have had the opportunity to photograph such a sweet couple at such a beautiful venue, with simple florals by Harmon’s + Barton’s, tasty food by the Inn, and lovely hair and makeup by Big Day Beauty. Now all I have to do is convince Bryan to move up to Portland (but seriously…)!
